The medical treatment software under consideration by Indian healthcare providers could provide access to affordable and timely treatment in some of the world’s poorest countries.
Medical treatment software that is being developed by iHD Medical Treatment, a company based in Bengaluru, is being piloted by medical institutions in some countries including Afghanistan, Kenya, Nepal and South Sudan.
The software will enable healthcare workers to get access to healthcare treatment within their countries and to access medical treatments at their country’s primary healthcare centers.
The company, which recently completed a $1.2 million seed round led by New York-based Accel Partners, is also working on the development of software that can help medical staffs provide health care to patients, according to a statement from iHD.
The software is being designed to be affordable, secure and easy to use, iHD CEO Aniruddha Bhargava said in a statement.
The technology, developed by the company, would be used to provide health-care services to people under the age of 60 who need care.
It will allow the healthcare workers at their primary healthcare center to obtain healthcare treatment at the facility in the shortest possible time, the statement said.
The development of iHD’s software will help healthcare providers in India, Bhargav said.
The company is in talks with health systems in India and neighbouring countries to test the software, he said.
iHD plans to launch the first of 10 million iHD devices by the end of next year, Bhagav said in the statement.
